Requirements: Key Responsibilities: Design customized electrical harnesses and distribution enclosures based on the unique requirements of agricultural, construction, and industrial applications. Source and select appropriate electrical components, wires, connectors, and materials for harness construction, considering factors such as durability, environmental conditions, and regulatory compliance. Build prototypes of electrical harness designs for validation and testing purposes, conducting testing to ensure functionality, performance, and safety compliance. Generate detailed wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation to guide the manufacturing, assembly, and installation of custom electrical harnesses. Collaborating with sales, engineering, and project managers on new product leads to understand product specifications, technical requirements, and integration constraints. Communicate regularly with key project stakeholders regarding project status and prioritization of work. Collaborate with customers to understand specific technical requirements for their application and ensure that our products meet the expectations for their projects. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline design processes while maintaining quality standards. Stay up to date with advancements in electrical engineering, agricultural technology, and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into harness designs. Minimum of 3 years' experience with custom electrical harness design, preferably within the agricultural sector. Strong understanding of electrical principles, wiring standards, and harness manufacturing techniques. Familiarity with precision agriculture machinery, equipment, and electrical systems. Experience with CAD software for electrical and mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks Electrical, Arcadia). Ability to travel to other locations up to 30%. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, necessary for effective collaboration and coordination across departments. Strong problem-solving abilities are crucial for identifying and resolving design issues in a timely manner. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where adaptability and quick decision-making are essential. Physical Requirements: Seated Position: Ability to remain in a seated position for approximately 50% of the time, with the capacity to alternate between sitting and standing as necessary. Movement: Capable of moving around the office environment and traveling outside of the office to farm or construction sites. Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. of equipment, tools, or materials as required for various tasks, such as prototype components or testing equipment. Field Work and Machinery Operation: Depending on job requirements, may involve performing fieldwork, including operating agricultural and construction equipment for testing purposes. This may include tasks such as climbing ladders, accessing confined spaces, and working in outdoor environments. Communication: Skill in exchanging accurate information with customers, co-workers, vendors, etc., utilizing verbal, written, and electronic communication methods.
