About Us
We are an organization dedicated to fostering growth and supporting families through Early Head Start programs. Our mission revolves around providing comprehensive child development services while ensuring families receive the necessary support and advocacy.
Role Overview
You'll play a pivotal role in nurturing the growth of children and supporting families enrolled in our Early Head Start program. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of family support, developmental screenings, and individualized school readiness plans for children. Engaging in weekly home visits, facilitating socialization groups, and assisting with parent education activities will be key elements of your role.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct child development screenings and assessments, creating tailored school readiness plans for each child.
Foster positive relationships with children and families during weekly 90-minute home visits, promoting equity, inclusiveness, and cultural responsiveness.
Collaborate with families to establish Family Partnership Goals and engage in community resources to support them effectively.
Identify family strengths, needs, and interests, providing referrals and support through community resources.
Actively participate in interdisciplinary planning and maintain accurate records adhering to program standards.
Essential Skills
Ability to establish supportive relationships while maintaining individual and family dignity and promoting independence.
Proficiency in planning, organizing, record-keeping, and effective communication.
Knowledge and experience in child development, early childhood education, and family dynamics.
Skilled in motivating families, conflict resolution, and adult education practices.
Familiarity with community resources and the ability to build collaborative partnerships.
Requirements
Minimum one year of experience in home visiting or an Early Learning Program with demonstrated competence in planning and implementing home-based learning experiences.
Access to a personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and necessary certifications (CPR, Pediatric First Aid, etc.).
Ability to adapt to technology, travel, and attend necessary training.
Preferred Qualifications
Home Visitor CDA credential or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education.
Proficiency in English and other languages (e.g., Spanish, Somali, Arabic, etc.) is highly preferred.
Current Parents as Teachers certification is considered advantageous.
Salary Range and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $22.54 - $30.67, with benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k enrollment, vacation leave, paid holidays, and more.
