About the Role:
As an Educational Technology Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing technical support and training to instructors and students, ensuring seamless utilization of multimedia lab technologies and resources. This is a remote position with the potential for hybrid work in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Offer technical support to instructors and students in navigating multimedia lab technologies.
Conduct orientation sessions and develop training curriculum for multimedia lab users.
Collaborate with the support team to provide technical assistance in lab environments.
Deliver both virtual and face-to-face training programs on traditional and cloud-based eLearning technologies.
Assist in recording sessions and performing media duplication services.
Support individuals in utilizing personal devices for educational purposes.
Recommend suitable educational technology resources both online and within the agency.
Foster the adoption of standardized and emergent educational technologies.
Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
Completed Public Trust Investigation and eligibility for future secret clearance.
Residency in the DC/MD/VA metro area.
5+ years of professional experience or 2+ years related experience.
Proficiency in educational technology across online and physical environments.
Experience with eLearning development products and collaborative learning tools.
Familiarity with video conferencing technologies (e.g., Zoom, Adobe Connect).
Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in educational technology or related field.
Familiarity with HTML5 and Learning Management Systems.
Experience with mobile learning platforms and responsive design frameworks.
Proficiency in eLearning authoring technologies and graphics design software.
Knowledge of learner engagement tools and survey platforms.
Familiarity with gamification and AI technologies.
