Responsibilities
• Plan, implement, and evaluate curriculum activities for children• Direct routine classroom activities and physical care• Model appropriate nurturing and communication skills• Maintain a safe and healthy environment• Complete child assessments and conduct parent conferences• Lead and supervise classroom staff• Uphold licensing and accreditation standards• Evaluate student staff and complete required paperwork
Requirements
• 45 college quarter hours in early childhood development/education/special education or equivalent• Or Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) and 2 years of experience• AA/AAS Degree in Early Childhood development or equivalent• Background clearance, First Aid/CPR training, TB skin test• Washington State Food Handlers' License• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education• Demonstrated excellent communication and leadership skills• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices• Strong curriculum development and assessment knowledge• Successful teamwork experience
