Job No: 536107; 2/15/2024EAGLE PATROL WEEKEND SUPERVISORCommunity Services Specialist IPublic Safety Salary Range:$3,505 - $5,057/Monthly (Prorated accordingly)Work Schedule:Part-Time, Friday – Sunday, Friday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.Essential Functions:Incumbent will assist in the coordination of the Eagle Patrol Program, including the daily monitoring of student assistants, with the following responsibilities: patrolling and protecting the campus community from hazards such as fire, theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other crimes; assisting in the enforcement of campus rules and regulation; reporting hazardous/dangerous conditions; checking, opening and securing campus facilities; responding to building and room security/fire alarms; providing general information and service to the public; unlocking and securing of buildings and doors; providing escorts; general supervisions of Eagle Patrol Student Assistants, including scheduling and providing an appropriate example for your employees to follow; and assist other personnel as needed.Required Qualifications & Experience:High school graduate with good writing abilities. The incumbent must possess a California Driver's License. The incumbent must have knowledge of and/or the ability to learn how to use applicable public safety equipment and systems for example deactivation/activation of security/alarm systems. The incumbent must possess excellent personal communication and customer service skills. The incumbent must have the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with campus community; and use computer-based system programs, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University.
