Job summary
The Model Risk Team in CRMTR is hiring an experienced quantitative professional to validate financial models used in IFCResponsibilities include validating/reviewing models, assessing assumptions and implementation, providing effective challenge, and conducting industry researchRequirements include a degree in Finance, Engineering, Econometrics, or Statistics, at least 5 years of relevant experience, knowledge of discount cash flow models, and proficiency in Excel and statistical software
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Validate/review models used for IFC's Private Equity and Quasi-Equity• Assess assumptions and implementation of discount cash flow models and market-based valuation models• Ensure appropriate use of private equity models in specific sectors• Provide effective challenge and support to senior members of the Model Risk Team• Help develop and implement model development/remediation plans• Perform industry research on models• Revalidate models to meet policy and audit requirements• Create and maintain model validation documentation• Respond to queries and requests in a timely manner• Meet deadlines and achieve results• Actively seek knowledge and share with others
Requirements
• MS or higher degree in Finance, Engineering, Econometrics, Statistics, or equivalent• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Private Equity models• In-depth experience with validating and reviewing models is a plus• Solid understanding of discount cash flow models• Thorough knowledge and exposure to Private Equity in specific sectors• Exposure to Private Equity models in emerging markets is a plus• Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Python, and statistical software• Strong quantitative, analytical modeling, and model validation skills• Motivated and committed to ethical standards• Desire and motivation to learn different types of quantitative financial models• Strong inter-personal and communication skills• Ability to work under pressure and multitasking• Excellent team player
