Cordoba Corporation is a leading civil engineering firm based in California specializing in education and facilities, transportation, water and energy sectors . We are seeking a Document Control Specialist Administrator to support the Water Sector. The Document Control Specialist will store, manage, and track the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works Bureau of Sanitation project documents. The Document Control Specialist will scan, image, organize, and maintain documents adhering to the City's document lifecycle procedures. This role will also be responsible for archiving inactive records in accordance with the records retention schedule.
Manage and maintain an electronic document control/management system. Maintenance and control archive storage of documents and records. Control the storage and retrieval of documents. Assess the completeness and accuracy of documents. Transmit documents through PDF and zip files. Scan paper documents into project management software. Help project managers develop and maintain documents such as meeting minutes, drawings, specifications, submittals, RFI's, approvals, and related items. Training City employees on records management procedures and policies, which include documentation, retention, retrieval, and destruction. Assist with file migrations and audits and perform administrative tasks as needed. Assist in preparation for customer, regulatory, and internal audits. 1-2 years of document control experience is required and supporting engineering or construction-related projects is highly desired. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat is required. Preferred
Technical degree or associate degree augmented with courses and/or seminars in engineering change control, change requests, contract administration, project management is preferred. Experience in SharePoint, ProjectWise, E2020, or Procore is highly desirable. Experience developing document workflow process and desk-top instruction on how to use an EDMS is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience with routine Document Control hardware and software, such as scanners and optical character recognition (OCR). Self-starter attitude, a proactive, results-oriented focus, and be willing and capable of assuming additional responsibilities. Demonstrated success on the job, as evidenced by satisfactory performance, acceptance of responsibility, and growth in previous positions. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgrounds. Detail-oriented and highly organized and able to produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a customer-service attitude. Salary Range: $65,000 - $91,000 per year. 
Work Location: Hybrid 1-2 days per week in the Playa Del Rey office location.
