We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Document Controller to join our dynamic team, contributing to the successful execution of complex and innovative projects.
Job Summary: The Document Controller plays a crucial role in facilitating efficient document management for Estimators and Project Managers. They are responsible for managing incoming and outgoing documents from various stakeholders such as General Contractors, Customers, Architects, Engineers, and Detailers. The Document Control Specialist ensures the timely receipt, organization, and submission of contract drawings, shop drawings, coordination drawings, submittals, and transmittals. They collaborate with the detailing team to streamline document organization and control for estimating and project management purposes.
Essential Job Functions:
Thoroughly check and submit all documents within specified timelines. Receive and track incoming transmittals for existing projects, submit and track outgoing transmittals, and organize and track contract drawings Receive, track, and monitor documents using standard document management programs. Register documents, maintain databases, and produce logs, transmittals, and reports as required. Ensure all documents are error-free in filenames, submissions, etc. Follow Company standard operating procedures in document submissions. Process various document types through procedural steps according to defined procedures and guidelines. Ensure compliance with pre-established document control requirements, including document numbering, signatures, and approvals. Input data and generate reports using standard office automation or department-specific computer applications. Maintain printers regarding toner, paper, and service calls. Adhere to Behavioral and Conduct standards as well as Safety protocols. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements:
