DISTRIBUTION SUPERVISOR Overview: The Distribution Supervisor supports the Distribution Manager by overseeing the daily operations and performance of hourly employees within the Distribution department. This role is critical in managing various facets of the distribution process including Picking, Checking, and Shipping/Receiving functions.
Key Responsibilities: Effectively communicate, coordinate, and supervise the department's daily activities to ensure goals and objectives are met. Maintain adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all employees and departments. Facilitate robust communication channels with all stakeholders, both internal and external. Train lead personnel in job functions and supervisory duties, ensuring comprehensive understanding and competency. Implement rigorous training for all department employees in operational processes and safety protocols. Consult with management and staff to address departmental challenges and propose actionable solutions. Compile essential reports and maintain accurate records, including daily inventory tracking. Manage employee time records in e-Time, overseeing scheduling and time-off requests. Represent the department at company meetings and events, actively participating and showcasing department achievements. Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree or some college coursework preferred. A minimum of three years' experience in a distribution or logistics environment. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are highly desirable. Location Jarratt, VA
Salary $65k-$75k - commensurate with experience
