Adecco Search has partnered with a global manufacturing client to recruit and hire an Operations Manager for their flagship distribution facility located about 45 minutes from Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including safety, quality, on-time delivery and shipment, productivity, and cost improvements. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining high service levels. Lead, coach, and mentor a team of supervisors and associates to achieve performance targets and ensure a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as logistics, procurement, EHS, Maintenance, and customer service to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and ensure compliance. Implement and maintain best practices in inventory management, order fulfillment, and warehouse safety standards. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA, state, and local regulations. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and internal customers. Additional tasks or assignments as required.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, or related field. 7+ years Supply Chain experience; Operations/Distribution Center 5+ years of leadership experience Proven leadership in change management and LEAN practices in logistics-focused environment. Proficient in Microsoft Suite; familiarity with SAP WMS/TMS preferred. Experience with Unionized workforce a plus.
