Responsibilities
• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and cooking utensils• Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions• Stack clean dishes• Carry clean dishes to cook's line and storage areas• Rewash soiled dishes if necessary• Change dishwater in dish machine• Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand• Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster• Setup and break down dishwashing area• Clean and roll/unroll mats• Sweep/mop floors• Assemble/disassemble dish machine• General restaurant and restroom cleaning• Wipe up spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry• Notify Manager if dish machine falls below safety standards• Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the company• Follow all health and safety regulations• Assist guests' and employees' needs• Other duties as directed
Requirements
• Ability to walk and stand during entire shift• Ability to lift and carry racks or stacks of dishes, glassware, and utensils weighing up to 30 lbs, up to 50 times per shift• Ability to lift and empty trashcans weighing up to 150 lbs, with assistance, up to two times per shift• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and lifting• Knowledge of health and safety procedures• Knowledge of sanitation practices• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment• Must work in a clean and organized environment• Experience with interior of hotels in restaurant and kitchen areas• Exposure to humidity, steam, and extreme temperatures• Exposed to food and beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals
