Orangetheory Fitness is a trendsetting franchise fitness organization with close to 700 locations open in the US, Canada and UK and with more than 400 new fitness studios under development across the nation and internationally.
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Director of Supply Chain will report to our Chief Development Officer and oversee operations within our Supply Chain and Logistics Team including strategic sourcing, purchasing, inventory management, import/export compliance, transportation, and distribution of finished goods. This position will be responsible for developing plans and procedures to ensure that internal and external customer needs are met. The Director of Supply Chain must have a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management and demonstrate an ability to effectively liaise across the entire value chain from suppliers to consumers and retailers. A successful candidate must have a keen awareness of various external influences on a global supply chain and logistics network. This individual will be empowered to develop and optimize our systems, processes, and infrastructure to support our growing business.
This position will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to ensure the success of OTF supply chain management from start to finish in our Domestic and International Regions. The Director of Supply Chain is an integral part of our management team and will regularly present to OTF Executive Management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Directs the organizations overall supply chain operations, including strategic sourcing, purchasing, inventory management, import/export compliance, transportation, and distribution of finished goods both domestically and internationally.
• Develops efficient, cost-effective supply chain strategies to continually improve safety, quality, delivery, value, and cost. Evaluates business practices, improves process documentation, streamlines opportunities, and eliminates non-value added services. Must have experience in international shipment of hazardous, dangerous goods and be responsible for OTF compliance.
• Establishes and maintains effective relationships with key suppliers.
• Oversee analysis of supply chain effectiveness, supplier risk, and supplier performance.
• Ensures issues regarding new/existing products are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Responsible for maintaining the order flow of all products and managing the customer delivery chain.
• Drive and facilitate Orangetheory's strategy for cultivating a fully engaged logistics workforce.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering or a related field
• An MBA degree in Logistics Management is of added advantage
• 10+ years of experience with increasingly progressive logistics responsibilities
• Solid track record of leading a team to achieve goals set out for department's overall success
• Excellent customer service skills. Must have the ability to work with varied internal and external customers and respond to variable customer requirements and demands
• Experience managing 3rd Party Logistics Providers in a global environment
• Project management skills and proven expertise in change management
• Proven track record of excellent negotiating and decision-making skills
• Capacity to work creatively to formulate new methodologies when needed
• Comfortable with dynamic and fast paced environment
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Ability to travel both domestically with occasional International travel
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. is required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position will be responsible for managing the supply chain and logistics team members as we grow this department.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. It should be understood that any unprofessional behavior in the corporate office, by this position or any other corporate positions, will be dealt with per the employee manual. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

POSITION TYPE
This is a full-time position.
TRAVEL
This position may require some travel both locally/domestically and internationally. Travel may be up to 25% of the time.
