The Role:
As Director of Strategic Sales within our Redwood Multimodal sales team, you will drive growth by achieving sales targets, developing strategic plans aligned with company goals, and leveraging our differentiated Modern 4PL solution. This key role maintains high customer satisfaction while building a qualified pipeline focused on new logo acquisition.
What You'll Do:
- Execute and create sales plans, developing your personal strategy for pipeline and brand growth
- Promote and sell our full suite of services: FTL, LTL, parcel, freight management, distribution, project services
- Leverage our innovative TMS technology and platform offerings for current and prospective clients
- Foster a positive, inspiring sales culture through collaboration with the team
- Resolve escalated customer service issues swiftly with operations leadership
- Conduct outreach and prospecting focused on our Move services
- Effectively manage RFPs, communicating with stakeholders throughout the sales cycle
- Consult customers on solutions for supply chain challenges and future scalability
- Identify and strategically solve potential roadblocks to selecting managed solutions
- Develop and deliver customer-facing presentations across service lines
- Transition sold solutions seamlessly to delivery teams
- Participate in QBRs and feedback loops to drive organic growth
- Recommend strategies based on market research and competitor analysis
- Nurture strategic customer and partner relationships
- Employ a multi-channel selling approach
- Handle reporting and other duties as assigned
What You'll Need:
- 7+ years of strategic transportation sales experience in LTL, brokerage, managed services
- 5+ years selling multiple service offerings
- 3-5 years delivering or managing supply chain solutions
- Expertise articulating managed service value/ROI to prospective customers
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, analysis, and networking skills
- Extensive industry network and shipper contacts
- Proven leadership ability
- Adaptability to pivot based on business needs
- Strategic thinking mindset
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for sales objectives
- No restrictive covenants prohibiting performance
