ATARID Specialist Recruiters to the Property and Asset Management Industry have been retained by our Client, an investment and property management firm specializing in the acquisition and management of single family and multifamily real estate, to seek an experienced:
Director of Property Management - responsible for all aspects of property management operations for a portfolio of single family and multifamily homes including financial performance, budgets, provide guidance, training and leadership to a team of five staff.
Join at grass roots level and join a company with a fast-expanding portfolio, with plans for growth in the main US markets.
Job Responsibilities:
-Oversee a portfolio of 500 units of single family, small multifamily properties.
-Develop and maintain a positive and productive team environment, providing guidance and motivation to maximize portfolio value.
-Establish financial controls (budgets, priorities, and savings opportunities) people management, property operations and reporting on a regular basis.
-Assist the team in assessing each property's current requirements regarding construction/rehab needs, with associated costs; ensuring work is completed in a timely manner.
-Remain aware of all material property management issues and brief key decision makers.
-Build company for growth and expansion, consistently looking for new, innovative, and efficient business processes.
-Prepare an annual maintenance plan including capital expenditure for each property.
Job Qualifications:
-5-10+ years' progressive experience in property management with significant managerial responsibility
-Bachelor's Degree within a discipline related to this role and industry.
-Experience rehabbing properties in a cost-effective manner; knowledge of related construction.
-Understanding of local markets, rents and industry trends
-Experience using property management software.
-Proficient using MS 365.
Location: Detroit, MI
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 Commensurate with Experience. Plus, annual performance-based bonus up to 40%.
