How will you make an impact? The Director, Digital Performance Management, is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to implement a digital performance management system in several manufacturing facilities.  You will be a part of the Corporate Global Business Services organization and will manage a team of approximately 15 people.  Your team will span multiple functions, ranging from IT, data analytics, engineering and more.  And your team will work with site resources and leaders as necessary.
What will you do? You'll implement from start to finish a digital performance management system for the manufacturing site.  This requires first learning about the context: the business, the operations, the levers and bottlenecks.  Then understand the current state and create the future state.  Create the plan to achieve the digital future state and execute You'll coordinate with the Sr Director, Digital Operations and other leaders to gain alignment and support of your plans You'll lead the implementation for several sites, and thus will need to manage the teams' resources, schedule, budget, and negotiate trade-offs to successfully implement the digital performance systems You'll lead project communications and phase approval reviews, providing clear and concise written and verbal communication to all levels of the leaders and stakeholders, and you'll tailor your style to a broad range of audiences and situations How will you get there? Qualifications/Experience:
Deep expertise in Smart Operations (or Industry 4.0) in large, complex, global organizations Strong track record of implementing Smart Operations in multiple types of manufacturing environments Strong knowledge across end-to-end operations At least 5-years' experience in project management and implementation of large-scale, transformation business projects. Management-consulting experience highly preferred Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization Intrinsically motivated, accountable, and committed to professional development Excellent written and verbal communicator; exceptional relationship builder Effective at influencing and leading without direct authority Ability to lead and drive complex decisions and solve problems BS / BA degree from an accredited University in a quantitative or analytical field Other Important Information Travel requirement for this position 50-75% At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 125,000 extraordinary minds have a unique story to tell.
