JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting directly to the Vice President of Tenant Coordination, the Director of Tenant Coordination will become part of a team of dynamic professionals who are working to expedite and stabilize housing for some of the most vulnerable populations in New York City. In this role, the Director of Tenant Coordination will directly supervise Tenant Coordination Supervisors, each of whom are responsible for supervising five to six Tenant Coordination Specialists. The Tenant Coordination Specialists are working directly with young adults, individuals, and families in need of stable housing, all of whom come to Anthos|Home with a housing voucher.
Anthos|Home works with individuals and families from the beginning of the housing search process, during the move in to housing and then during a period of housing led aftercare for up to one year post-move-in. The Director of Tenant Coordination will be essential to the smooth and efficient functioning of the Tenant Coordination department.
Key responsibilities include the ability to: Oversee and supervise the work of several Tenant Coordination Supervisors; Assist VP of Tenant Coordination with outreach to child welfare agencies and other social services providers to develop Participant referral partnerships; Lead and participate in meetings with Anthos|Home partners, including the NYC Administration for Children's Services (ACS), Shelters and other agencies referring Participants, including those with High Health Needs (HHN) along with public and private funders; Actively participate in Anthos|Home weekly leadership and other internal meetings; Lead Tenant Coordination departmental meetings, and ensure the implementation of best practices and high quality Tenant Coordination work; Conduct Tenant Coordination departmental trainings; Overall responsibility for Tenant Coordination departmental hiring; Conduct reviews of Salesforce data to uncover trends and challenges, and to ensure that case notes and other data is being updated in a timely and complete way; Monitor implementation of aftercare services, and overall quality of service delivery by Tenant Coordinators; When needed, attend case conferences to discuss and address Participant challenges that come up in the course of the matching process or post move-in; Participate in Quarterly Incident Review Committee (IRC) meetings; Participate in an emergency on-call rotation and complete incident reports; Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: The Director of Tenant Coordination should have a passion for working with vulnerable populations and exhibit creative problem solving skills. A minimum of five years of supervisory and senior management experience in the housing and/or human service sector required. LCSW preferred.
Additional Skills include: Excellent interpersonal skills; Familiarity with the NYC housing market, voucher system and public benefits; Excellent verbal, written, communication and negotiation skills; Experience with developing community-based resources; Ability to utilize critical thinking skills in decision-making situations, good organizational skills, and independent judgment; Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint a plus; Passion for the mission of the organization; Ability to work in a diverse environment.
