PRINCIPAL DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain high standards of professional, personal and interpersonal functioning in job performance.Direct, evaluate, supervise and maintain an organized nursing service providing 24-hour nursing care to meet the assessed needs of the residents.Direct the maintenance of all systems and processes related to the nursing care functions for youth and staff including infection control and employee health.Train, advice and counsel personnel and residents as necessary regarding LUMCFS policies and procedures related to Nursing Services, medical care issues, license and accreditation requirements.Ensure medical and nursing record compliance to licensing standards.Supervise all aspects of the Nursing Services Department, including the supervision of departmental personnel and fiscal management.As requested serve as a member of the agency's, Safety Committee, and other committees, task forces, and teams as assigned.Serve as liaison to consulting physicians, contractual healthcare providers, external customers, and third party payors.Participate in performance improvement activities and utilize aggregate data to enhance performance of nursing services.Work closely with psychiatrist to ensure that residents' psychiatric needs are met.Responsible for on-call duties, includes after-hours, weekends, and holidays.Perform other duties as assigned by Program Director.Report directly to Program Director
