Responsibilities :
Identify and develop opportunities in new marketplaces for Gas Services that align with the company's market and service sectors
Directs and manages daily and monthly gas acquisition and storage activities.
Directs and manages peak day capacity portfolio including interstate pipeline contracts, interstate storage contracts, on system storage capacity and on system exchange interconnects.
Directs and manages gas purchases and gas purchase contracts.
Coordinates activities related to gas accounting including gas purchase payment, gas gathering invoicing, interstate pipeline payment, storage accounting and gathering collections.
Coordinates all activities related to gas transportation and customer choice including monitoring nominations, providing balancing services, providing interconnect capacity.
Develops and maintains key business relationships with producers and marketers.
Negotiates gas purchase and interstate pipeline contracts.
Represents company at various gas industry committees and events.
Develops and reports key gas supply metrics to senior management.
Presents gas supply plans to operations management.
Understand and abide by industry set laws and standards
Required :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field. Master's Degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in a public utility environment
Minimum 10 years of gas supply purchasing and planning experience.
Minimum 5 years senior management experience.
Minimum 5 years of deal evaluation or financial analysis.
Strong knowledge of gas operations, gas control and system flow parameters, energy risk management, forecasting and modeling, LDC tariffs and interstate pipeline tariffs.
Advanced management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including complex spreadsheets.
Excellent communication skills (presentation, written, and verbal).
Self-motivated, high level of initiative and strong judgment.
Strong project and time management skills.
