Job Summary:

The Director of Family Engagement Program plays a pivotal role in administering the Family Systems Manager Program, adhering to the strategic initiatives set by the Executive Director. This position involves ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and overseeing program staff. The Director's responsibilities include managing the necessary program reporting, delivery, and supervising the day-to-day operations of Regional and Statewide Family Systems Managers. As an integral member of the senior management team, the Director is expected to collaborate effectively administration and with the other program leads. This role is vital in ensuring that the team adheres to the organization's policies and directives.

This position requires a highly motivated individual who is passionate about community engagement. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and have a strong commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Training:

Provide regular on-site supervision of Family Systems Managers. Train and supervise Family Systems Managers in effective participation with regional teams, including collaboration with Regional System Development Managers and Regional Network Managers.

Partnership Development:

Build and maintain partnerships with community providers and key constituents to foster investment in family and youth involvement activities.

Staff Management:

Conduct ongoing performance evaluations, manage scheduling, approve vacations, and oversee time card management for staff.

Program Development and Support:

Assist Family Systems Managers and partners in identifying, developing, and supporting natural and informal supports, community services, and family support groups. Guide the development of training programs to enhance family and youth leadership.

Strategic Collaboration:

Work with DCF Regional Systems Development Managers to analyze system needs, monitor system functioning, and drive continuous improvements across the regional service network.

Communication and Partnership Enhancement:

Supervise and guide family system managers in their work with community partners, focusing on improving communication, consolidating efforts, and fostering family-driven and youth-guided practices.

Family and Youth Engagement:

Lead family system managers in engaging families for system analysis, planning, and service delivery. Disseminate information on community resources addressing the priority needs of families in the region.

Technical Assistance:

Provide technical assistance and support to local and regional systems of care, enhancing the quality of interaction within their governance structures.

Other:

All other duties as assigned.

Performance Standards:

Reporting:

Generate regular reports for the FAVOR Executive Director, as well as preparing statistical reports for funders.

Quality Assurance:

Direct participation and partnership with Regional Systems Development Managers, Hub Service agencies, and other system leaders to promote the well-being of children, youth, and families.

System Improvement:

Promote and sustain system improvements across the regional service network, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Leadership:

Provide leadership in all aspects of the program, ensuring effective implementation of family-driven practices and youth-guided initiatives throughout the regional service system.

Compliance and Adherence:

Ensure that all activities and operations comply with relevant management objectives, organizational policies and regulations. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director, ensuring overall program efficacy.

Education and Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or other related discipline

· At least two (2) years of human service's management/supervisory experience

· Proven track record of working successfully with community-based systems of care

· familiarity with DCF and Connecticut's - service delivery system;

· Ability to work independently

· Team player with ability to work collaboratively with management team

· Supervising and training staff or volunteers

· Ability to effectively facilitate meetings

· Engage in systemic collaborations and maintain effective relationships with community partners

· Excellent writing and verbal communication skills a must

· Proficient in Microsoft office suite.

· A valid driver's license, vehicle and insurance.

Physical Requirements:

This position primarily involves sedentary work in an office setting. Tasks may include operating a computer for extended periods, communicating with colleagues, and occasional lifting of office materials up to 30 pounds. The role may also require the ability to sit for extended periods, bending, reaching, hearing and vision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
