Job Responsibilities Oversees benefit broker relationships to design cost-effective, market-competitive comprehensive benefit programs; manage annual benefit renewal process, and evaluate effectiveness of programs.Provide strategic leadership, oversight and guidance of various benefit plan programs. Manage the design and competitive benchmarking for plans to ensure that the plans are cost-effective, competitive and align to business requirements.Provides deep technical expertise in compensation/benefits design and delivery.Oversee and delegate the performance of job evaluations, market surveys, and data analysis; determine competitive position of Company's salary, incentive, and equity structures; determine recommendations for adjustments to maintain internal and external equity in pay plans.Analyze the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures, and make recommendations for revisions while ensuring all aspects of plan design and administration remain in compliance with applicable laws.Performs complex analysis, develops alternative recommendations, and formulates implementation strategies for job design and compensation and reward programs.Stay abreast of and ensure compliance with evolving Federal and State compensation related legislation. Provide guidance to ensure compensation and benefit program compliance and audit support, including 401k, Form 5500, etc. Collaborate with subject matter experts in Legal, Compliance, Finance and other functions to identify and resolve compliance issues.Provide competitive pay analysis and recommend short-term and long-term incentive programs and ensures compensation practices and programs are competitive in order to attract, retain, and motivate employees.Audits pay practices to ensure compliance with federal and state legislation applicable to wage and hour laws and regulations and internal pay policiesProvide recommendations to Executives, Management and HR staff on pay decisions, policy and guidelines interpretation and job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs.Oversee the merit and bonus processes and make program design recommendations based on relevant market data as defined by company compensation philosophy.Collaborate with our senior management team to drive workforce education and communication about compensation and benefits programs.Recommend and help implement enhancements to benefits and compensation modules in the HRISSupport M&A and reorganization activities as required.Work with HR business partners to advise and influence business leaders in total reward strategy, programs, process, and ad hoc actions.Manage total reward needs associated with future growth/acquisitions, including assessing compensation and benefits plans and transition needs, and performing due diligence around practices of targeted acquisitions.Develop and manage a staff of highly skilled and motivated team members focused on the delivery of quality, value-added services and effectively allocate responsibilities and work processes across the function.Ensure the tools (HRIS and external service providers) are in place to effectively manage total reward planning and administration, including enablers to drive informational and transactional self-service.Minimum Qualifications BS or BA degree with concentration in business management, finance, accounting, human resources, or related field.7 + years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.Demonstrated working knowledge of legislation that may affect compensation and benefits policies/practices including ACA, ERISA, FLSA, ADA, COBRA and other applicable DOL tax laws and regulations.Comfortable communicating the importance of compliance with regulations; advocates and supports company policies and protocols to reduce risk and organizational liability.A strategic and data-driven mindset with the ability to influence, drive decisions and lead discussions utilizing data and affecting change. Experience sourcing and managing salary benchmarking surveys, including job matching, survey submissions, comparative reviews, and payline analyses.Experience leveraging and making effective use of eternal consulting relationships.Experience managing compliance and regulatory requirements in order to build effective compensation & benefit strategies.Superior acumen of market dynamics, industry trends, and best practices.Advanced proficiency in MS Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Limited travel requiredPreferred Qualifications Certified Compensation Professional or similar certificationHuman Resources experience in a manufacturing environment Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or other related fieldIntegration/M&A experience.Have the physical ability to occasionally lift/carry, push/pull, reach overhead, squat/bend/kneel, frequently stand, walk/move about, and regularly sit. Equipment Operated Personal computer, copier, fax/scanner, telephone and other standard office equipment
Working Conditions Office environment with frequent visits to the plant/manufacturing floor where employee will be exposed to loud noise, moving machinery parts, airborne particles and fumes from food processing equipment.
