The Iowa Clinic is looking for a Director of Analytics to lead, guide, and execute strategic data analytics and reporting projects. The Director of Analytics works closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to set the priorities for the analytics team as well as identify key analytical growth opportunities across the organization. This role requires developing close relationships with other leaders at The Iowa Clinic, including the C-site and other department heads, and working closely with these teams to complete data and analytical projects that bring positive organizational results. The Director of Analytics should be able to own and lead detailed project plans and use strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure high quality project outputs. Mentorship and team leadership will also be critical to ensure team members are supported in their professional and analytical growth, as well as fostering a positive team environment. Leading candidates for this position are those who have experience leading health care analytics teams, who have successfully delivered data and analytical projects for medical groups, population health departments and related areas.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in analytics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Must have over 10 years working experience in analytics, with over 3 years' experience leading a team of analysts.
1-3 years' experience in medical group, population health or related experience preferred.
Working knowledge of data tools such as Python, R, SQL or related tools required, with the ability to guide analysts on projects utilizing these tools.
Working knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI or related tools required, with the ability to guide analysts on projects utilizing those tools.
Experience leading large data projects, including but not limited to, large-scale dashboard development, multi-layered data processing development, complex data mining and modeling, and related projects.
Experience leading complex business analyses, including working with business leaders to understand objectives and delivering results in clear and impactful outputs.
Ability to proactively identify business opportunities and develop actionable project plans that utilize data, analytics and tools to deliver positive organizational results.
Experience mentoring direct reports and less experienced team members, helping to increase business and analytical skills while also leading a positive team environment.
