Job summary
The Director of Alumni Relations is a senior member of the Advancement Team.The incumbent must be an experienced, dynamic and creative professional who will plan and implement a comprehensive program of activities that establishes and maintains relationships with the approximately 8,000 MMA alumni worldwide.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Strategically engage alumni and secure commitments from them to provide volunteer service.• Work closely with colleagues across key administrative offices.• Plan and implement activities to establish and maintain relationships with alumni.• Serve as the primary liaison to the Alumni Association Board of Directors.• Plan class reunions and implement special events to recognize outstanding alumni.• Oversee Homecoming Weekend and regional alumni clubs.• Oversee social media related to Alumni Relations.• Contribute to the alumni magazine and e-newsletter.• Manage the Alumni Relations budget and supervise employees and volunteers.• Handle confidential information.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.• At least five years working in alumni relations or related field.• Two years of supervisory experience.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Strong planning and organizational skills.• Ability to work with technology, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.
