Director, Mine Water Management

Company DescriptionRESPEC, an internationally recognized engineering consulting and services company, seeks a motivated, experienced Director of Mine Water Management to join our Mining & Energy team.Job DescriptionThe Director of Mine Water Management will develop and execute mine water management services, ensuring high quality management of assessment, design and implementation. This will include delivery of services and deliverables on a timely basis within budget.QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, or environmental science and at least 15 years of engineering experience; OR a master's degree in engineering preferred and at least 13 years of engineering experience; OR a doctoral degree in engineeringBroad knowledge of water resource management needs, including assessment and prediction of mine water quality, mine water treatment, waste rock management, tailings management and drainageincluding knowledge of water quality standards, environmental regulations and best practicesProfessional Engineer (P.Eng) license or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) is preferredExperience in overseeing science and engineering consulting projects related to mine water management.Additional InformationCompensation:Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
