As the Director, Marketing , you'll be responsible for overall marketing campaigns to support the label, artists, album releases, live tours and brand initiatives. Responsible for overall marketing, acting as the internal point person across the Rounder roster. Work with label team to construct innovative and creative marketing plans that further overall artist development. Works under general supervision.
What you'll do: Facilitate comprehensive communication and coordination both internally and externally to propel projects forward while upholding the artist's overarching message and brand integrity. Formulate and implement complete marketing strategies and initiatives for single and album launches. Coordinate various aspects of the label group to sustain momentum and advancement for specific artist projects. Collaborate with artists, managers, and the marketing team to establish, refine, and develop artist brands. Maintain a deep understanding of each artist and their management team's methodologies, objectives, and overall endeavors to foster a unified and efficient working rapport. Develop project timelines and synchronize key dates/deadlines across all departments, ensuring prompt fulfillment of project requirements. Organize and manage special events aligned with album releases, specific tour dates, and other significant occasions. Act as the primary liaison between artist management and the label. Generate innovative marketing concepts, evaluate optimal options, and execute strategies effectively. Handle a substantial volume of communication through phone calls, emails, and meetings. Design and supervise advertising campaigns. Oversee quarterly budget management. Regularly communicate project statuses to the Director of Marketing and label personnel. Provide guidance and supervision to the Social Media Manager and Director of Paid media Outline of Specific Functions: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and campaigns for single and album launches. Coordinate all aspects of the label group to maintain focus and momentum regarding specific artist projects. Collaborate with artists, managers, and the marketing team to establish, nurture, and refine artist brands. Acquire and uphold knowledge of each artist and their management team's strategies, objectives, and overall endeavors to foster a cohesive and efficient working relationship. Generate project timelines and key dates/deadlines across all departments and supervise the punctual delivery of project requirements. Organize and manage special events aligned with album releases, specific tour dates, and other notable occasions. Serve as a primary liaison for artist management and the label. Engage in brainstorming sessions to generate impactful marketing concepts, evaluate the most promising options, and execute them effectively. Handle a significant volume of communication via phone calls, emails, and meetings. Design and supervise advertising campaigns. Manage quarterly budgets effectively. Regularly update the SVP of Marketing and label staff on the status of artist projects. Provide guidance and supervision to the Social Media Manager and Director of Paid media Fulfill any other responsibilities as necessary.  What you'll need: Minimum of 5 years music industry experience with an emphasis in marketing required. Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or other relevant discipline required. Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute a wide range of tasks with heavy workloads and tight deadlines. A general knowledge of all departments within a label, including digital, publicity, A&R, creative, production and promotion Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
