Director Logistics Systems Location Hybrid remote in Edgewater Park, NJ : LOCATION 4287 Route 130 S Edgewater Park NJ US 08010 Overview Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for logistics and technology? Join us as the Director Logistics Systems and lead a skilled technical team that supports our Supply Chain and Corporate users. As the Director Logistics Systems, you will play a pivotal role in achieving these goals by managing and mentoring a team that provides continuous production support for our Distribution Centers (DCs) and partnering with various business functions to drive results.
A Day in the Life Provide leadership in support of Supply Chain applications including the design, testing, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of multiple Logistics systems to meet rapidly changing business needs. Troubleshoot and research system issues using technical expertise to resolve operational challenges. Direct efforts to maintain applications in production, including troubleshooting stoppages, identifying and resolving system issues, documenting application performance, and coordinating with technology infrastructure management. Lead the team that serves as the point of contact for the business to request WMS data extraction and analysis. Perform system research using tools such as SQL - Oracle and Excel. Analyze complex data sets and translate them to DC staff in a practical manner while partnering to develop recommendations and solutions. Plan, document, and manage the performance of 2 direct reports and 20 indirect reports; Provide for professional or technical growth through assignment, mentoring, or training. Responsibility for the definition, development, and implementation of standardized best practices in Logistics core functions that leverage existing systems and maximize efficiencies. Drive continuous improvement within the team, increasing their overall awareness of the evolving challenges in flowing off-price retail; Challenge yourself and others to creatively solve business needs by leveraging Logistics systems. You'll Come With Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably with a Supply Chain focus 10 years' experience within Supply Chain systems 5+ years' experience within a Systems leadership role Proficiency with SQL, Excel, Oracle, and Manhattan WMOS Strong analytical skills to provide fact-based analysis and drive decisions Provide inspired leadership to team and foster an environment where the team advances their skills and abilities; Leadership experience within Retail Systems desirable Come join our team.
