As a Sales Director with the Upmarket Acquisition team at Lumen, you will be responsible for staffing and directing a sales team providing leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth. The Upmarket Acquisition team will solely focus on capturing enterprise customers with limited or no business with Lumen today. Your team will run deep hunting motions to obtain and build new relationships; and explore complex multi-tower solutions with longer sales cycles. This role will lead the engine for new business and drive strategic direction for growth in Upmarket.
The Main Responsibilities In this role, we will count on you to: 
Provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth through curiosity, creativity and perseverance  Successfully executes on sales strategies for the pursuit of new enterprise opportunities Build a high-performance team; hire and retain the right talent in the right roles; set goals, delegate work, hold reports accountable; develop and empower direct reports to make decisions and take action Lead your team through teaching, knowledge transferring and driving results through others Coach your team to quickly penetrate dormant accounts and develop trusting relationships Conduct accurate sales forecasting and achievement of sales targets Oversee the creation of campaigns designed in identifying new targets, markets and opportunities Participate and engage in programs that ensure the attainment of expense objectives and recommend programs to control and correct budget overruns Review business plans, sales strategies, and action plans for identified accounts to ensure objectives, goals, win strategies, schedules, and action assignments are clearly defined. Ensure your team is providing accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities to meet or exceed sales quota requirements  Continuous expansion of your external network & join business events in driving new prospects for business at Lumen Create a winning culture and that supports high-energy interaction, responsiveness, attentiveness, and high integrity for an excellent customer experience What We Look For in a Candidate Minimum Qualifications :
10+ years' experience developing and leading winning teams using a solution-based sales methodology for enterprise technology services in a consultative, complex, business-line sales process 5+ years' experience leading other sales leaders and teams, driving attainment throughout the organization, directly and indirectly Track record of leading winning teams who regularly meet or exceed targets closing deals through new client acquisition  Executive presence and credibility, with effective verbal and written communication skills Strong business acumen and expert knowledge of Lumen's products, services, and solutions Proven ability to hire, manage and motivate successful, solution-oriented sales teams High energy level and demonstrated drive to succeed Preferred Qualifications :
BA/BS Business Administration or Marketing or other appropriate degree and/or commensurate experience  Compensation The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications. Location Based Pay Ranges $123,450 - $164,590 in these states: ID SD 
$129,940 - $173,250 in these states: MT ND OK UT WY 
$136,440 - $181,920 in these states: CO OR 
$142,940 - $190,580 in these states: TX WA
