Director, Education & Enrichment (Full-time) Director, Education & Enrichment (Full-time) Responsible for the overall management of the Education and Enrichment Department including leadership, strategic planning, and fiscal management. Responsible for providing strategic direction in developing and implementing innovative, high-quality educational programs, classes, and enrichment opportunities including personal and professional enhancement, arts and culture, health and fitness, and special offerings that meet the needs of the community and are in line with the budgeted goals and mission of the organization.
Responsibility Responsible for complete financial oversight of annual Education & Enrichment departmental budget including classes, camps, and arts/culture/wellness enrichment events. Researches, plans, budgets, and implements additional special programming and events based upon community interest, available resources, and sponsorships. Identifies, solicits, and secures corporate and individual sponsors to underwrite cost of special events and programming. Plans and implements successful Enrichment opportunities such as, but not limited to, Women of Influence, Culture Talks, Health & Wellness Series. Strategizes and develops effective marketing plan incorporating traditional and social media. Analyzes monthly financial results and adjusts forecast accordingly. Analyzes programs and expenses relative to revenue, cost, and community interest and impact. Executes the following relative to educational programming: o Determines community interests and needs; plans educational programs accordingly.
o Plans overall scheduling of class terms and production schedules.
o Schedules dates, times and sets fees for classes.
o Develops on-line education and summer camp catalogs, determines distribution.
o Plans and implements marketing, promotion, and mailings.
o Oversees student registration and data base operations.
o Oversees administration of instructor (Independent Contractor) agreements.

Ensures all department employees and contract staff meet The Community House standards for quality and customer service. Develops and cultivates relationships and partnerships with community, civic and business organizations. Builds relationships with outside instructors (Independent Contractors). Submits weekly Education & Enrichment status report to President & CEO. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Undergraduate Degree. Master's Degree a plus. 1-3 years education management (schools, camp, extra-curricular education). Experience managing a complex staff. Non-profit experience desired. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Solid phone and interpersonal skills. Strong community relations and networking skills. Excellent organization and planning skills. Excellent project management and analytical skills. Strong financial background with the ability to create and manage department budget. Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines. Ability to handle numerous events simultaneously while maintaining a pleasant receptive demeanor. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal software programs. Ability to market the services of The Community House. Ability to define problems, to gather relevant facts, and recommend appropriate solutions. Strong customer relations and conflict resolution skills. Work Schedule Generally works Monday through Friday; often more than eight hours a day. Must be able to work flexible hours which includes some evenings and weekends to attend meetings, special events, and other activities. Travels offsite for meetings and events as needed.
