Director Behavioral Health Nursing

As the Director of Behavioral Health Nursing, you will have 24-hour accountability for the leadership and operational management of the nursing unit. You will be instrumental in fostering a high standard of patient care, professional development, and financial accountability within the behavioral health units. Key Responsibilities :
Supervise and ensure compliant direct patient care across the behavioral health units. Develop and maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the competency of team members through performance improvement projects, patient care outcomes, and customer satisfaction surveys. Drive the financial and operational objectives of the hospital. Exhibit leadership and effective communication skills to collaborate with other department directors and C-suite executives. Utilize critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Act as a trusted advisor, maintaining a positive attitude that promotes employee loyalty and engagement. Educational Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Nursing – Required. Experience Requirements :
Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience as a Behavioral Health Director or Manager - Required. Expertise with survey processes in an inpatient psychiatric setting (Joint Commission, CMS, Department of Human Services, etc.). License/Certification Requirements :
Registered Nurse License for the State of Oklahoma (either single state or multistate). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first week of hire.
