This position is responsible for the strategic development and programmatic oversight in the areas of Airport Operations, Maintenance, and Environmental Stewardship.Position ResponsibilitiesOperations Development and Oversight - Plan workload activities related to airport operations including interaction with key stakeholders such as airline operations, FAA, airline service providers, and airport business partners. Identify the needs of the airport and align division to adequately address strategic development. Maintenance Oversight - Plan workload activities related to airport maintenance including interaction with airport tenants, to resolve maintenance issues. Determine proactive solutions to reoccurring issues. Identify programmatic and capital needs to improve airport infrastructure.Fiscal Management - Responsible for fiscal oversight of areas of Operations, Maintenance, Safety and Security, Fire Protection, and Environmental Services to generate, review, and comply with established budgets and to develop future year budgets in conjunction with Executive Director and appropriate fiscal staff. Capital Project Planning and Oversight - Responsible for overseeing planned capital projects from both a budget and on-time delivery perspective. Responsible for regular reporting to Executive Director on projects' status. Responsible for the developing future capital budgets and providing analytics and justification for project needs.Regulatory Oversight - Be aware of current compliance requirements with federal, state, and local regulations including operations, maintenance, security, and environmental functions for General Mitchell International Airport and Lawrence J. Timmerman airport and monitor for future regulatory changes that affect both airports.Staff Management and Supervision - Manage departmental personnel matters as they arise. Oversee that departments are maintaining compliance with airport objectives and advise/report to Executive Director.Ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 30 lbs.Other duties as assigned.Required Education, License/Certification and ExperienceValid Driver's License and a reliable insured vehicle are required and must be maintained throughout incumbencyBachelor's degree or higher in Business/Operations Management, Aviation or closely related field requiredFive (5) years or more of work experience in Airport Operations, Facility Management, Business/Operations Management or similar work experiences requiredThree (3) years or more of work experience in a Supervisory, Management or Director role requiredIntermediate knowledge of all related computer and software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams requiredPreferred ExperiencesMaster's degree in a related field Accredited Airport Executive (AAE), Certified Member (CM) or Airport Certified Employee (ACE) certification granted by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Note: This position is unclassified and not subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations.
