Diesel Technician

Job summary
Thompson Truck Group is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles.The successful candidate will troubleshoot truck issues and analyze them.They will also promote a team environment and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
• Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty commercial vehicles.• Comply with company policies and procedures.• Keep accurate records of repair orders.• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.• Support other technicians and promote a team environment.• Provide a high level of customer service.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.• Basic knowledge of medium and heavy-duty commercial trucks.• Knowledge of engine and driveline, electrical and cap and suspension, air, hydraulic and full power brake systems, and more.• Basic knowledge of trailer repair and preventative maintenance.• Basic computer skills and knowledge.• EPA 609 Certification.• Current and active Class A CDL license and DOT Certification.• Previous experience working with International brand trucks preferred.• Experience with Navistar Service Portal for diagnostics and Idealease/dealer computer systems preferred.• Ability to lift minimum 50 pounds.
