Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and FRA standards• Perform daily inspections, servicing, and maintenance on locomotives• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions and repair or replace components• Perform locomotive car-body repairs including metal fabrication and welding• Operate equipment and tools in various conditions• Assist with other projects and duties as assigned
Requirements
• Two years of relevant work experience as a heavy mechanic• Ability to read and comprehend instructions• High school diploma or GED• Valid driver's license• Diesel mechanic experience preferred
