Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related technical field is required, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable time period. Active Top Secret security clearance highly preferred. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Responsibilities for this PositionGeneral Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an exciting position in our sunny Orlando, Florida location. We are seeking a DevOps/Continuous Integration Engineer who will technically contribute on one of our many programs. You will be a part of the development of next generation military command and control (C2) training environments using Modeling and Simulation. In this role you will:Act as a subject matter expert on Infrastructure as Code, DevOps best practices, Auto Scaling Groups, and Configuration Management Structure to build, improve, and maintain the software Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Testing, and Continuous Deployment (CD)Have an unyielding urge to automate all the things. Implement and automate tools and best practices for development, configuration management, release, and maintenance fixesMonitor technical health of all the core infrastructure components which support CI-CD processes and meet our goal of 99.99% uptime to support unified automated builds and testing for multiple teams/projectsAutomate the provisioning of these system on demand within a reasonable time frame which is in accordance with Disaster RecoveryImplement, maintain and deploy new code and configuration changes which are all version controlled across all CI-CD infrastructure components.Automate software testing at multiple levels (component, configuration item, subsystem, system) and monitor resultsCollaborate with developers to bring new features and services into productionProvide support to development teams that use the automated infrastructureRequired Experience:Familiar with the principles of Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Continuous Testing, and Continuous DeploymentExperience developing in Linux and Windows systemsStrong in Scripting Languages Bash, Python (Ruby, Perl, etc.)Experience with Container based architecture and deployments using Docker and KubernetesExperience with repositories code repository configuration management tools GitLab, SVN, ArtifactoryExperience with build-time dependency management using Gradle (Ant, Maven)Experience working with services-based architectures SOA, Micro services, etc.Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) Tools using Jenkins, GitlabExperience with SAFe Agile or Agile software development practicesExperience with cloud infrastructure environments (e.g. VMware, AWS, Rackspace)PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Ability to work on multiple tasks, prioritizing and organizing these tasks to maximize productivityExcellent written, verbal, and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently as well as in a teamEagerness to tackle problems outside your core competencies and learn new technologies as requiredCloud Security working knowledgeExperience in 24x7 production operationsKnowledge of automated code review and testing tools (e.g Protractor,Test-Kitchen, Cucumber,
