Ada Developers Academy (Ada) is a non-profit, tuition-free coding school. Our mission is to prepare women and gender expansive adults to be software developers while advocating for inclusive and equitable work environments. We primarily serve and address the needs of Black, Latine, Indigenous Americans, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander, LGBTQIA+, and low-income people. Our tuition-free training program includes a collaborative learning environment, individualized support, and an applied learning internship.
About this position In collaboration with the Development Team, the Development Manager will develop and coordinate funding from individuals, events, and corporations, primarily through campaigns, events, and other fundraising activities. Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Philanthropy, they will develop new sources of income from individuals and events, among others, and will lead Ada's annual giving campaign. The Development Manager will work with Ada's grant writing team to field information requests and report to foundations, and will also manage Ada's donor database and fundraising information. 

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position, with an annual salary range of $75,000-$90,000 (DOQ) and excellent benefits. While Ada is primarily operating remotely, this position requires occasional domestic travel to assist with events and engagement activities.
For eligible positions, remote work schedules are made available to employees working within certain jurisdictions, currently limited to the states of: Washington, Oregon, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Texas . Medical, dental and vision insurance with 100% of employee premiums (and 75% of eligible dependent premiums) paid by Ada Generous paid time off including: 4 weeks vacation leave and 2 weeks sick leave accrued annually, 11 paid holidays, and 2 paid week-long agency closures (summer and winter) Up to 16 weeks paid parental leave Immediate participation and vesting in a 403(b) retirement plan with up to 4% employer match  Health Care, Dependent Care and Commuter FSA options 100% employer-sponsored Long-Term Disability and Basic Life insurances As a learning organization, we offer up to $1,000 annually for employees to use towards their professional development Core responsibilities Fundraising Campaigns & Events Manages and executes the annual fund through individual donor campaigns (e.g., direct mail, online giving days, workplace giving).  Coordinates donor relationship management including stewardship and volunteer engagement.  Plan and execute fundraising events, initiatives, and other campaigns that include collaborating with corporate sponsors, local Seattle organizations, and major gift donors. Coordinate logistics, manage event committees, and engage stakeholders to maximize donor participation and contributions. Supporting all MarCom and outreach communications, including the creation of various materials such as the annual report, newsletters, e-updates, general presentations, and brand collateral. Donor Cultivation & Engagement Build and maintain ongoing communication with current and prospective annual fund donors, including alumni and other community members, fostering an understanding of their interests and philanthropic goals. Manage alumni donor engagement keeping Adies abreast of current events, board and advisory committee opportunities, volunteer activities, and external partnerships advocacy while encouraging cohort participation in fundraising campaigns and social gatherings. Serve as the primary liaison for data requests, the creation of budgets, and solicitation of documents as needed for grants and other funders. Lead regular report development, and reporting cycles with funders to ensure compliance with grant requirements, and foster trusting and deepening relationships with funders. Ensure timely and accurate submission of grant reports, tracking outcomes and impact. Work across Ada departments to monitor grant performance, track and synthesize data, ensure grant reporting requirements are met, and reporting information/data is collected on time. Coordinate with Ada's grant writers for recurring grants, and assemble letters of intent, proposals, and reports as needed. Donor Database Management & Gift Processing Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization's CRM system. Generate donor reports, track contributions, and analyze donor data to inform fundraising strategies. Process monthly gift reports on all constituents to review at Prospect Management meetings. Record and process donations and corporate matches ensuring all gifts are promptly and accurately entered into the database. Cross-reference all donations received from financial institutions (Benevity) ensuring disbursement information is in alignment and recorded into our database on a timely basis. Cross-Functional Collaboration Build and maintain ongoing channels and systems of communication and collaboration between the Development and the Corporate Partnerships teams that support holistic relationships with corporate partners and funders, and to ensure clear communication between teams. Other duties and special projects as needed. Essential qualifications Demonstrated embodiment of Ada's values in a professional environment
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of fundraising and development experience, including demonstrated success in managing annual campaigns, fundraising events, and donor relationships
Experience with Salesforce CRM & and email marketing platforms 
Proven ability to work effectively and independently across departments in developing, organizing, and managing grant proposals and awards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organization and monitoring skills
Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines, manage timelines and deliverables
