JOB SUMMARY A Development and Recruiting Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the development and recruiting office in various tasks and projects. You'll work closely with the Marketing and Development Manager and other team members to facilitate fundraising efforts, manage donor relationships, conduct general marketing research, and assist with the implementation of strategic plans. Additionally, as an associate recruiter, you'll be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for our organization. You'll collaborate with hiring managers and Center leadership to understand staffing needs, contribute to improving the recruitment process, effective recruitment strategies and overall employer branding initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MARKETING/DEVELOPMENT: Assists in organizing fundraising campaigns and events. Research potential donors, sponsors, and fundraising opportunities. Collaborates with the team to create compelling fundraising materials and proposals. Maintains accurate and up-to-date donor databases and records. Assists in sending acknowledgment letters and personalized communication to donors. Ensures prompt and professional responses to donor inquiries and requests. Provides support in preparing grant proposals and applications. Contributes to the development of impact reports and success stories. Conducts general marketing research to assist in targeted marketing efforts. Identifies new funding opportunities and strategic partnerships. Provides administrative support to the Development and Marketing Manager. Assists in drafting and proofreading development-related content, including emails, newsletters, and social media posts. Helps collect and analyze relevant data to assess fundraising performance. Contributes to data-driven insights and recommendations for improvement. RECRUITING: Collaborates with supervisors, Center leadership and human resources staff to determine staffing needs and develop recruitment plans. Sources potential candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, professional networks, and community outreach. Conducts thorough screening to assess candidates' qualifications, skills, cultural fit and sends applicants to appropriate supervisor. Provides ongoing follow up with supervisors regarding applicant status and records notes and outcomes in applicant tracking system (ATS). Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews. Assists with job posting and advertisement processes, responding to application and job positing inquiries. Recruits and fulfills department job placements each month. Utilizes ATS and other HR tools to manage the recruitment process efficiently. Contributes and participates in employer branding efforts through online presence, networking events, and recruitment marketing activities. Stays updated with industry trends and market insights to stay competitive in the job market. Maintains a working knowledge of Center policies and procedures, licensure regulations, CARF Standards, equal employment opportunity and other related employment laws, regulations, and guidelines. Participates in other functional work by participating in related projects, as applicable and directed by Center leadership. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in a related (i.e., Business, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Communications). 1 year of experience in development, fundraising, or a related field (internships and volunteer experiences can be considered). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to use fundraising and donor management software. Knowledge of social media reporting and analytics. Knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or other design software. Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintain the highest ethical standards in donor relations. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. A driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
