IT Deskside Support Technician
In order to continually provide our members with the highest level of service, we are seeking an experienced, results oriented and service focused individual to join our team of network technology professionals at our corporate headquarters in Basking Ridge, New Jersey with travel between our NJ, NY and CT branches as required.

The Deskside Support Technician will be a very hands-on, member of the Level 1/2 Deskside Support team and responsible for Affinity's hardware and software configurations on desktops and laptops including operating systems, third party applications, enterprise LAN/WAN, Internet, and telephone users. The Deskside Support Technician will also assist with the installation and administration of network related hardware and software, manage projects, provide technical support including the maintenance and upgrading of IT equipment, software installations and develop and maintain positive working relationships with the end user community. Additionally, position utilizes the IT ticket tracking system for problem management and resolution.

General Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting of incidents and service requests.
Overseeing, escalating, and collaborating on incidents and service requests with other teams.
Configuring and imaging laptop and tablet computing devices.
Ordering, tracking, and maintaining all IT equipment inventories and coordinating warranty services.
Evaluating and testing new hardware and software including operating systems, where applicable.
Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving Microsoft Windows and Apple hardware and software problems.
Responsible for end user IT equipment ordering, asset management and maintenance.
Capturing all work in the designated IT ticket tracking system.
Assisting in identifying needs and developing end user training solutions.
All other related duties, as required.
Requirements Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of related experience required or 2+ years of additional related work experience in place of a Bachelor's degree.
Knowledge of LAN and WAN Systems.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and MS 365 applications and administration.
Solid working knowledge of Internet standards and protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, etc.).
Understanding of client-side applications (Microsoft Office applications, FTP, Visio, etc.)
Mobile Device Management and troubleshooting experience is a plus.
Knowledge of ITIL, certification is a plus.
Knowledge and experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is a plus.
Experience with MS Configuration Manager is a plus.
Knowledge and experience with PDQ.
Must be accessible on a 24-hour basis, if needed.
