Kelly Engineering has a DIRECT HIRE position for a Mechanical Designer located in Kenosha, WI!
Responsibilities for Mechanical Designer
Sketch and draw up designs using input from engineers on the team
Create designs in line with company procedures and client standards
Prepare calculations on the proposed machine before completing technical drawings
Calculate factors like tolerance and dimensions
Submit drawings for team approval and production teams
Use customer feedback and data to upgrade, improve or repair the product
Provide support during the building and installation process, ensuring that the product is built properly and according to design specifications
Finalize designs and send prints to the production department
Qualifications for Mechanical Designer
2+ years' experience in Design role or related experience
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Extensive CAD knowledge AutoCAD Inventor preferred
Strong computer and analytical skills
Experience designing industry parts machined and sheet metal, assemblies and products with CAD
Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change
Able to work in a team environment
Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative
