Conveyors & Equipment has an opening for a Designer/Draftsperson in our Projects & Design department. For 50+ years we have served local industries including food processing, manufacturing, distribution, printing, recycling, and mining. Our specialty is conveyors and general material handling equipment. This job opportunity provides a wide variety of daily challenges and rewards as we provide material handling solutions to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities: · Developing custom layouts.
· Creating drawings in AutoCAD for fabrication and installation crews.
· Conceptualizing process improvements.
· Researching equipment to integrate into our systems.
· Working with other Designers to ensure accuracy to meet design requirements.
· Customer & vendor interactions, such as phone calls, emails, face-to-face meetings, etc.
· Obtaining vendor quotes.
· Working with the Service Department to generate installation quotes and installation planning.
· Assisting in writing estimates.
· Occasional travel for training and customer visits in the region.
· Assisting in shop assembly and field installations.
· Working with Project Managers to keep jobs on track.
Skills/Qualifications: · AutoDesk AutoCAD experience is required.
· 3D drafting experience is required. AutoDesk Inventor is preferred.
· Experience in a relatable manufacturing environment is a plus.
· A clean Motor Vehicle Record is required.
· Must be creative and innovative.
· Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
· Ability to read a tape measure, calipers, and other measuring equipment.
· Mathematics
· Basic computer skills, emails, spreadsheets, company software, etc.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
· Organization is a must.
· Ability to duck, bend, lift and crawl in various indoor and outdoor work environments.
· Basic hand and power tool skills are required.
Compensation, Benefits and Hours Pay negotiable, depending on experience.
