Design Engineering Manager

We are currently seeking a Design Engineering Manager to serve as a technical expert and lead our Design team through the design and development process while ensuring new and current processes, procedures and documentation exceed expectations.
Responsibilities
Successfully lead the Engineering team through all aspects of the design and product development process with a full understanding of product performance, drawing standards, and designing for manufacturing Establish, maintain, and enforce design/drawing standards Direct, review, and approve product changes so projects are on-time and within budget Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Engineering across industry Manage, mentor, and train teammates in the Engineering department Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with all departments and managers throughout the organization Develop and maintain drawing standards Technical interface to production and QA Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering degree preferred Ten years of experience as a Design Engineer with 3 years in a leadership role Ability to thrive and deliver results in a fast-paced environment Excellent oral and written communication Strong computer skills and proficiency with 3D modeling software Strong knowledge of materials, Material Science and metals finishes Ability to lead a team and work individually to meet strict deadlines through strong leadership and communication Strong background in GD&T and drafting Desired Experience
Previous experience in the firearms or similar manufacturing industry Working knowledge of ISO 9001 program requirements
