Design Engineer Details: Direct Hire position$93,000.00 to $100,000.00 /annuallySalaried (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)Main responsibilities: Assist in achieving the company's objectives of enhancing profitability, maximizing return on investment, improving inventory turnover, and promoting accident prevention.
• Emphasize and promote safety in all job activities and company meetings
• Utilize SolidWorks to design and draft product layouts, ensuring accuracy and structural integrity. Select appropriate components based on specifications and cost effectiveness
• Develop standardized designs by leveraging existing parts and components to ensure product reliability and cost efficiency
• Create detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for each manufactured part and assist in field testing new products, making necessary engineering changes
• Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Orders (ECO), troubleshoot mechanical failures, research materials, and oversee prototype manufacturing processes
Design Engineer Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of product design experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Proficient in 3D wireframe construction, design layouts, and creating assembly/component drawings
• Strong computer skills such as CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and Microsoft Office
• Understand engineering design standards, manufacturing capabilities, and have knowledge of products or similar agricultural items
• Mechanical aptitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills, including conveying technical instructions
• Understand Bill of Materials (BOM), stress analysis, material selection, and sizing
