Responsibilities
• Examines teeth and diagnoses patients' dental conditions• Assesses treatment options and presents treatment plans to patients• Documents risk assessment and records findings for, but not limited to, oral cancer screening, periodontal screening/charting and caries risk• Considers appropriate interventions based on risk and reinforces recommendations made to support diagnoses• Provides clinical treatments• Maintains patient dental records• Keeps apprised of new developments through structured continuing professional development• Markets services to potential clients• Detects disease with appropriate screening and assessment tools• Refers patients to orthodontists or other dental specialists for more advanced procedures and care when appropriate
Requirements
• Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) required.• The compensation range for this role is $200,000 to $300,000 per year.
