Full job description As a Dental Network Provider Relations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the retention of the HMO and PPO dentists in Guardian's provider network. You will review monthly dental network data with your Lead, Dental Networks to identify successes, roadblocks, or patterns and will implement strategies to drive success across different national markets. You will have ownership of some regional and mid-size Dental Service Organization renegotiations and assist in complex negotiations and terminations to retain and/or reverse terminations. You will also participate in ad hoc projects, train new team members, ensure resolution of escalated issues and approve fee schedule proposals. You will work in various systems and partner with other network team members and Pricing and Actuary partners. You have
Knowledge of Dental benefits and networks. Knowledge of MS Word/Excel/PPT and Salesforce, a plus. Experience working with Salesforce is a plus. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. 5+ years of dental insurance industry experience. The ability to work independently, accelerate impact and drive results. Provide best in class customer service to all DHMO and PPO dentists. Assess, analyze, and approve provider fee schedules. Meet productivity requirements as established by the role. Leverage available data to negotiate mutually beneficial fee schedule increases with providers. Research and resolve a variety of provider issues. Grow knowledge base of Network strategy. Work on a variety of projects. Be accountable for meeting contractual and procedural turnaround times. Put forth all reasonable efforts to retain providers in the network. Provide outstanding customer service to external and internal partners. Ensure quality assurance and productivity measures are in place and adhered to for your provider relations team. Act as a resource and Subject Matter Expert for the Provider Relations team. Act as a first level escalation point for provider issues. Work alongside your leader to suggest new ways of working for the team to create efficiencies and maintain a best-in-class Provider Relations organization. Location & Travel
This is a flexible position requiring 2 days per week in office, with preference given to candidates within commuting proximity to a Guardian office, which include:
Bethlehem, PA New York, NY Holmdel, NJ Pittsfield, MA Stamford, CT Atlanta, GA Plano, TX Chicago, IL Boston, MA Newport Beach, CA Will consider remote candidates if experience is aligned and ability to travel to Guardian offices as determined by the People Leader.
Business travel is expected to occur 0-20% of the time. Travel to/from regional offices as needed for project work/team meetings.
Salary Range
$66,130.00 - $108,640.00 The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
