Debt Collections Manager Location Oklahoma City, OK : JOB TITLE: Debt Collections Manager NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 1 REPORTS TO: VP, Bankruptcy Services LOCATION: Oklahoma City The Debt Collections Manager will primarily be responsible for managing the collection activities for client serviced probate accounts and post recovery collections. Ensure that policies and procedures are compliant with company policies and applicable federal and state laws. Coordinate workflow of collections staff and trains employees. Maintain documentation of all transactions that relate to collection activities. Provide support and documentation for State licensing compliance activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: — Overseeing collection team members. — Ensuring that the company policy on recoveries is followed and that it is in line with state and federal regulations. — Train staff in understanding the probate and post-bankruptcy recovery processes. — Administers collections programs, maintaining knowledge of legal requirements and regulations. — Achieves department goals and objectives daily, weekly and monthly. — Answers inbound collection calls and handles and diffuses escalated calls. — Manage compliance of state and federal consumer protection laws and regulations such as FCRA, FDCPA, UDAAP, and TCPA. — Prepare and participate in client audits of collection processes and compliance. — Evaluate current collection policies and procedures for compliance and efficiency. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS Required English Ability Level Business Fluent QUALIFICATIONS: — Proficient with financial calculations. — Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams & SharePoint). — Excellent leadership skills. — Strong verbal, written, communication and presentation skills; strong critical thinking and reasoning. — A self-motivated person with the ability to motivate associates. — Good people management skills. — Background and credit check required. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, detailed correspondence, memos, and emails. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals quickly and correctly. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION: Candidates with quality related certification/licenses will be preferred.
