Database/System Administrator Duties and Responsibilities
This project is in accordance with the Client Technical Education and Career System Nutrition and School Meals (NSM) office recent awarding of 4.7 million dollars in IT
Capital Funds.
Over the next year, the NSM will focus on continued implementation of the Titan
platform with an added automation in equipment preventative maintenance program.
We are adding a DBA member to the current team.
Database Administrators with Applications experience are responsible for data migration, data cleanup, data reporting, as well as managing and maintaining the hardwired lines and wireless connections in a system and the hardware that hooks up to that system.
pplicants are expected to have at least ten years of relevant work experience, ideally in a school or educational agency, managing school nutrition data applications, and automated processes.
Job duties specific to the applicant may include:
Proficient in Microsoft Access
Fixed Asset System Integrations
Testing/Piloting operations
School rollout
Grading user interface reports
PI connections
Creating QR codes
Data migration and data cleanup
nalyzing and figuring out the system needs of an organization
Research and development
Keeping systems operating efficiently by performing any necessary upgrades and repairs
Planning a strategy to maintain system security on the computers and the network as a
whole
Optimizing and evaluating the system regularly
ssigning and updating security permissions for the system network
Training or directing users on the correct use of software and hardware within the system
Performing problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user or monitoring system
Tracking, installing, and configuring software updates and performing database backups
to restore and protect user information
Installing hardware and software for the network
