Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist Consultant to join our team on a 3-to-6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to provide strategic insights, develop predictive models, and drive data-driven decision-making. Candidate should be in the USA and can be remote if available for face-to-face meetings as needed.
Scope of Work:
Review our company data and help us understand the overall scope and relative value of the data we have.
Offer suggestions for additional data we may need to increase overall value.
Specific Tasks and Responsibilities: Work with Legal to understand our boundaries for data usage.
Work with Data Services to understand the data and how it is collected and stored.
Work with SMEs to understand the business context.
Work with Architecture to understand our infrastructure and channels for data delivery.
General Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth analysis of complex data sets to uncover insights and trends.
Design, develop, and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver actionable data solutions.
Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and compelling visualizations and reports.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science.
Qualifications: 5+ years of proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a focus on delivering impactful solutions.
Strong proficiency in programming languages.
Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies.
Excellent data visualization and presentation/communication skills.
Experience working with big data technologies and evaluating large datasets.
Understanding/experience of the insurance industry, especially in Finance and Insurance (F&I) is a plus.
