DATA SCIENTIST

HYBRID (Midlands)

£60,000 - £85,000

COMPANY:

Our client is a leading European retail company based in the midlands. They are currently undergoing a large restructure and offer a strong/progressive work environment with significant opportunities for growth. They are looking to make a lot of progress in the applications around Data Science and Machine Learning within the industry. Immediate work will cover projects Forecasting and Predictive Modelling.

ROLE:

Lead forecasting projects independently from start to finish

Utilize machine learning techniques to anticipate trends and inform strategic decisions

Collaborate closely with data engineers and business partners to gather requirements and drive insights

Undertake projects such as forecasting margin after discount, warehouse usage, product demand etc.

Be actively involved in the planning of new stores.

REQUIREMENTS:

Strong experience in

forecasting

methodologies

Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Azure

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Experience with AB testing

Familiarity with A/B testing platforms and methodologies
