Job Description
Required Skills and Qualifications:
7+ years of proven experience as a Data Modeler in a larger enterprise environment.
Proficiency in data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling concepts and techniques.
Experience developing data architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize data structures and improve data quality and performance.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Job Responsibilities: Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support data-driven decision-making and business processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data models using tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, and other data modeling tools.
Design and implement data architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and data quality.
Analyze and optimize existing data structures, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending solutions to enhance data integrity and performance.
Collaborate with data engineers, database administrators, and other technical teams to implement data models into production environments.
Develop data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation to facilitate data governance and compliance efforts.
Conduct data modeling workshops and training sessions for team members and stakeholders to promote data modeling best practices and standards.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data modeling and data architecture and recommend innovative solutions to improve data management processes.
Nice-to-Have Skills: Knowledge of SAP ECC (Enterprise Central Component) and experience working with SAP data models.
