The Data Engineering Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.Responsibilities:Identify data and information needs for wholesale lending business of ICGDeliver solutions to automate data model creation and transformations and partner with model engineering team to deliver Data Driven solutionsAutomate the build model generation Software Development Lifecycle to merge, build and release models as codePartner with Data Architects to produce JSON, AVRO and Java versions of Models produced by Data Architects using Magic Draw and ErwinDefine processes and rationalize target state architecture, socialize with key stakeholders and conduct walkthroughMerge data model changes from different workstreams and generate model change reportAutomate data model deployment and manage version control in bit bucket or central model repositoryUpload the data model to data catalog servicesDevelop scripts to reduce manual work and automate the model delivery processParticipate in requirement engineering and working groups and collaborate with business leads, operations, SMEs, technologists and governance teamsCollaborate with Enterprise, Sector and Federated architecture team and adopt recommendationsIncorporate data standards and implement governance modelDevelop data flows, ownership matrixes and data lineageQualifications:3-5 years of demonstrable hands-on experience in Java CodingTest driven development by setting up automated testingContinuous Integration and Continuous Deployment PracticeExperience in modelling and transforming data to meet best-practice data standards for Operational Data Stores, Big Data platforms, and Reporting & VisualizationAnalytical and problem solver, excellent verbal, written and presentation skillsExcellent influencing, meeting organization, facilitation skillSelf-Starter with keen interest in learning new products and skillsExperience with Erwin or Magic DrawEducation:Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
