To assist in end-to-end data center IT support services including data center monitoring, hardware break fix, equipment installation and moving, equipment staging and deployment, logistics. asset management, and support for the district and its customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Incumbent must achieve the following outcomes with or without reasonable accommodation:
Assists with the monitor and support of computers, storage and network infrastructure at the APS data center.
Troubleshoots and repairs data center physical plant issues.
Provides remote and hands-on functions to physically troubleshoot reported hardware malfunctions.
Understanding basics of data center infrastructure and cabling.
Monitor and report on Data Center and infrastructure performance.
Assists monitoring and evaluation of operations of the District computer system.
Monitors operations of peripheral equipment and performs necessary maintenance operations.
Monitors and ensures heating, cooling and other environmental systems are operational and satisfy environmental requirements.
Records and updates documentation of work operations, incident reports, and outages.
Maintains inventory of all tagged company assets (e.g., racks. shelves, PDUs. compute. network and storage) Maintains stock and inventory of untagged consumables as needed.
Loads, unloads and distributes materials and supplies using fork lift or pallet jack and following established safety procedures.
Ensures security procedures are followed to ensure safety of equipment and confidentiality of information
Maintains cleanliness of the physical plant.
Perform physical tasks such as using small tools (e.g., hand drill, screwdriver. hammer) in facility maintenance .
Performs other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE: Ability to troubleshoot technology and physical maintenance problems.
Ability to monitor and report on the performance of technical equipment.
Able to lift up to 70 pounds at a time.
Manual dexterity
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending , stooping, crouching. crawling, and climbing.
Able to distinguish different colors.
Ability to use hand tools.
Effective communication skills. both verbal and written.
Flexibility , organization, and problem solving skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects.
Ability to work days, evenings and nights rotating-shift and occasional weekends.
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent
1-3 year's technical experience.
IT certifications are a plus.
Valid New Mexico driver's license with insurable driving record.
