Cytologist Ii

Lighthouse Lab Services has partnered with one of the leading healthcare facilities in North Carolina and we are on the search for a Cytotechnologist to join the team.
Position Information:
The Cytologist II performs specialized tasks involved in screening slides of clinical specimens to detect evidence of cancer or other pathological conditions. Requires a thorough knowledge of the morphology of normal cells and cellular changes associated with physiological states reactive processes inflammatory changes and changes resulting from effects of specific forms of treatment such as irradiation and chemotherapy. Evaluates the quality of specimen preparation utilizing knowledge of the expanding variety of methods of preparation and staining in the laboratory.
Experience Requirements:
3 Years Clinical Laboratory Required
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Cytotechnology Required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Certified Cytotechnologist Required
Hours of Work:
Flexible: Day (8a - 5p) or Evening (2p - 10p) shift available
Weekend Requirements:
No Weekends
Salary: $24-$33/hour depending on experience
