Responsibilities
• Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow• Ensure accurate and timely client billing• Understand and interpret import and export customs procedures• Accurate and timely data entry into operating system• Transpose customs declaration information into entry system• Assist with verification and submission of customs declaration• Track and trace customs files• Interact with customs authorities• Liaison between customs authorities and customers• Ensure timely customs clearance of cargo• Verify documents for compliance• Arrange international shipments and meet customer service standards• Maintain strong relationships with customs officers• Ensure compliance to regulations• Constantly improve department process flow• Stay up to date on regulatory requirements• Meet KPI standards• Overseas communication and timely responses
Requirements
• 6 months to 1 year related experience/training or equivalent• Good knowledge of customs brokerage processes and systems• Good knowledge of customs legislation• Understanding of ocean and air documentation process• Knowledge of air, road, and ocean transport• Good knowledge of incoterms• Effective interpersonal skills• Pro-active and strong organizational skills• Computer skills• Fluent in English
